Which ages are appropriate for The Gifted Hive Is the curriculum only for primary school? 

We support families with children in Prek-2nd grade for Fulltime homeschool options and provide tutoring/enrichment services for all elementary age students through grade 6.

What can I expect joining the pod for fulltime guided homeschool? Is it all virtual or can I join in person sessions too?

Your child will be enrolled in our virtual school platform via Clever. All of our edtech tools, curriculum, learning goals, will be hosted in a one-stop shop for easy access. Most instruction will be embedded in the tools themselves via interactive and experiential learning. Reinforcement activities and class engagement will be managed byThe Gifted Hive Homeschool through our (super fun!) ClassDojo. There will be an option for in-person co-op 1-2x a month for field trips, extended learning, p.e., and specials.

What can I expect joining The Gifted Hive for enrichment only? 

Students enrolled for enrichment will also become a student under our virtual school platform via Clever. All enrichment programs are designed to be completed digitally and run for 6 week intervals.

What types of materials will I need?

You will need access to a chromebook/laptop or tablet to fully participate in our virtual school . There are a few apps that will also needed to be downloaded to your smart devices for your child. I do also recommend an easel, index cards, and dry erase markers for instruction, but it is not required.

What is the expected time commitment for our family?

Homeschooling is flexible and work is expected to be completed at your pace, in your own time. Each week, full time homeschoolers will be presented with a week at a glance of all of the activities to be completed in that week. A sample schedule will be provided; but all work should be able to be completed within 3 hours a day. Enrichment students should expect to spend up to 30-90 minutes a day working through their program(s).

Is The Gifted Hive a charter school?

No. The Gifted Hive is an all in one guided homeschool pod for families wishing to homeschool their children. Please review the homeschool laws in your state or reach out to info@thegiftedhive.org for assistance in meeting the required documentation.

What are the costs?

Fulltime Guided Homeschool Pod  $85 daily tuition

Enrichment Only Program $65 for 6 week program.
